Kalevi Suvejooks &
Nordic-Baltic Deaf Orienteering Championships
The Kalevi Suvejooks (Kalev Summer Race) is the oldest as well as one of the biggest orienteering competitions in Estonia.
In 2026, you are welcome to join us on the 18th and 19th of July in Viitna (Lääne-Virumaa).
What to expect:
- Compete with hundreds of participants from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, and other countries.
- Give your best on the 1st day, because it determines your starting position for the 2nd day - on the 2nd day, we have a chase start based on the results from the 1st day.
- This year ESS Kalev Suvejooks will also include Nordic-Baltic Deaf Orienteering Championships.

Shortened long distance. Interval start.
14:00 First start
14:00..16:00 Open courses and string course for kids
Sunday, July 19th, 2025
Shortened long distance with chase start with forking. (exept Deaf Chamionships - they have interval start)
11:00 First start
11:00..13:00 Open courses and string course for kids
Starting Order
Saturday, July 18th - Interval starts in all classes, start interval 2 minutes. In the NR/TR classes, start at a freely chosen time.
Sunday, July 19th - Classes MN10NR start at a freely chosen time. In all other classes chase start according to the results of the first day. Deaf Championships - interval start.

Good to Know
Punching System
SportIdent punching system will be used. Children's race is without electronic punching.

In the event centre there is caffeteria where drinks and icecream is sold.

Camping
Camping is not available at the competition center, but accomodation in small houses is available.

The Suvejooks is organised by the LSF PT orienteering club in cooperation with the Estonian Sports Association Kalev. The LSF PT orienteering club has hosted the event for 18 years.
The Nordic-Baltic Deaf Orienteering Championships are organized by the Eesti Kurtide Spordiliit.
